Use one or all of the
following techniques and unleash more magic in your life!
1. Out with
the Old, In with the New
Start this
year off by clearing out anything that you don't love, physically, emotionally,
mentally and spiritually, creating space for all that you desire to enter your
life.
Trust your intuition to
guide you about the items, people, habits, feelings, etc. that you wish to let go
of.
I spent December 31st
physically clearing out my house. In preparation for a giant yard sale I plan
to have, I took everything out of alignment with who I am and what I want for
2007 down to the garage. I found that in doing so I rid myself of a lot of
stuff that I had purchased during my corporate days when shopping numbed the
ache of not living "on purpose."
In addition, I went for a
long walk on the beach with a trusted and dear friend. I brought along a
Sharpie marker and we both found a large beach rock and wrote on it everything
that we were completely done with. After a short impromptu ceremony, we threw
our rocks into the ocean, officially releasing the old and opening space for
welcoming the new.
How you work with this step
is your choice and there are many options including: writing all that you wish
to release on paper and burning it (be careful please), giving the old to God
and your angels, or simply saying out loud "This is what I am done with:
__________. I release the old and welcome the new." The possibilities are
endless!
2. What do
You Want this Year?
Now that you have cleared
out the old, what New do you wish to manifest?
Spend some
time getting very clear about the upcoming year and all that you desire.
Write your
desires in juicy detail and Dream Big!
The sheer
act of writing intentions down on paper is very powerful!
I discovered this first hand in my twenties...
Several years ago, before I
delved into “Self Actualization” as a career, I made some New Years
resolutions, then stuffed them away into a drawer and forgot about them. Later
in the year, I rediscovered them, and to my shock and surprise, many of them
had come true, in very interesting ways, simply by putting them on paper.
I was living pay check to
pay check back then and didn’t consciously know how to manifest. My resolutions
list included getting a new car and moving into a new apartment, both of which
seemed impossible at the time. As it turns out, through the course of the year,
I had a car accident which was severe enough to total my car, but not severe enough
to harm me. The insurance money was enough to put a down payment on both a new
car and a new apartment! Voila!
Now I know to ask for my
lessons and manifestations to come with ease, grace and safety. I do this very
simply by adding
“All this and
more!” to my manifestation lists.
My own process around
Intentioning this year has led to the upcoming release of my first E-book!
Necessity truly is the mother of invention!

3. Being and
Doing
Have you heard the
expression, "You are a human being, not a human doing"? Have you ever
felt like a human doing? I know I have!
I have come to realize that
manifesting is more than action and the more I am in a Being state (enjoying my life,
living in the present, taking care of myself), the faster I can manifest
anything that I want.
The other day I headed down
to the beach for a walk and some much needed R & R. I realized that I
didn't take enough time off over the holidays and my body and soul were in
desperate need of some rejuvenation.
At the beach it was high
tide, so I walked as far as I could then headed back to sit upon a large rock,
perfect for meditation. I am such a "do-er" that even my meditations
involve some form of doing, like asking questions and receiving guidance,
planning my day, etc. I sat upon the rock and was guided to "just be"
for a while.
As uncomfortable and
foreign as this felt, I tried my best. I watched the surfers riding the waves
and smiled at those passing by. Very soon, magic
started to happen!
A squirrel crawled right up
to me and checked me out. Then I noticed whale spouts off in the distance (it
is whale watching season here, however I have never seen them in Southern
California from the shore). Then I noticed a pod of dolphins swim by right at
the time when another squirrel approached me on my right. It was amazing! And
if I hadn't just sat there, completely immersed in Being, I would have missed
the show!
I was reminded by a friend
yesterday that Being is a state of receiving. In terms of manifesting,
one must be able to receive what they have asked for, so this step seems pretty
important!
Check into your own life
and see if Being and Doing are in alignment for you and make adjustments
accordingly.
4. Specify a
Theme for 2016
My theme for 2016 is
"Effortless Abundance." Setting this as my theme not only sets the
tone for my year, it also guides me in my choices.
Ease is a huge part of this
theme, so when going about my year, if something feels out of alignment with my
theme, I can check in and see if I really want to move forward with that
decision. Enough said!
What is your theme for the
year?
5. Look for
what You WANT, Not what You Don't
Once you have
identified what you want, go in search of it! Expect it to show up!
This is a core process used
in coaching. We call it "staying in the 98%" which means assuming
that 98% of life is working and focusing on that, knowing that whatever is
focused upon grows.
If Financial Abundance is
high on your list of desires this year, start to notice
and express
gratitude when abundance of all forms appears.
I love to
burn candles in my home. The other day I noticed that I
was running low and wished for more. A few days later I spent time with two
friends, who gifted me with - yes, you guessed it - candles, and really yummy
smelling ones at that! I thanked them and the Universe and excitedly realized
how fast I am manifesting! What an awesome feeling!
Remember, if you ask for
money and then goods come in that you then don't need to buy, you have
accomplished the essence of money. Look around for a moment and acknowledge all
that you have manifested recently and acknowledge yourself for it!
I hope these five areas
help you to create your best year yet!
Happy 2016!
